Xiaoshuang is a senior who holds strong passions for promoting Chinese traditional culture on campus. In the past two years, she has been heavily involved with CCDC (Chinese Cultural Dance Club) and taken leadership roles in organizing performances.

Edmund is a freshman MCDB major with a background in theatre and acting. In his first year at UCLA, he was cast as the male lead in the annual Chinese American Cultural Night, which happens every spring quarter!! Listen to his experiences below. 

Spotlight: Culture Night Review

The 40th Annual Vietnamese Culture Night, 49 Days, was a massive production presented by the Vietnamese Student Union (VSU) on January 20, 2020, in Royce Hall. 

​

The three-hour exhibition of Vietnamese culture pulled together elements of drama, contemporary and traditional dance, and music, creating an incredible experience that spoke deeply to not only the Vietnamese-American experience but also to the Asian-American and immigrant family experiences.
