Fontanna Yee

Hi, my name is Fontanna, and I'm a second year cognitive science major minoring in linguistics. Currently, after UCLA I'm either planning on attending graduate school for clinical psychology or speech pathology. In addition to career and academics, I'm a captain for a dance team in Foundations Choreography, where you can find me being a mother of forty children. I am also a programming assistant for UCLA Residential Life and a neuropsychology research assistant at the Semel Institute. I live an extremely hectic life, but when I do have time to myself I'm usually bullet journaling, writing fiction, trying to choreograph dances, and exploring new places in LA!

Qinyi Chen

Hi, I'm Qinyi, and I'm a senior majoring in applied math, with a specialization in computing. I am planning on attending graduate school in math this fall, in the pursuit of becoming a researcher in academia. I have participated in various research projects on campus, including the summer REUs at the Math department and IPAM. I am also heavily involved in STEM and volunteering organizations. I have been a member of UMSA, Women in Math, VITA and China Care Bruins. In my spare time, I love eating, traveling and binge-watching movies.

Yuri Lin

Hello, my name is Yuri, and I'm a first year majoring in Pre-Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics. I am currently a lab assistant at the Cousins Center for Pyschoneuroimmunology and a student researcher in a psychology lab focusing on violent deaths in LGBTQ and racial minority populations. Though I am still figuring what I want to do in the future, my goal is to have a direct and positive impact on others, regardless of where my path my take me. When I'm not working, you can find me jamming out on the violin with my friends, painting with watercolors, or watching random cat videos on Youtube.

August Hardie

Hello! My name is August, and to answer your probable first question; No, I wasn't born in August. I'm a junior (transfer student) studying Psychology with a specialization in computing. I'm interested in one day becoming a Research Psychologist / Professor. I am obsessed with the idea of improvement - how can we perform optimally in daily life? In correspondence, my research interests include: Social, Neuroscience, Learning & Memory, Motivation, Decision-making, Self-Regulation & Control, Dreams. I aspire to make a significantly positive change in the way we live our lives.

Victoria Li

Hey! I'm Victoria and I'm a first year majoring in Pre-Human Biology and Society with an interest in public and global health. I am also part of the College Scholars program, and I hope to pursue medicine and public health in the future. So far, I am involved in Universities Allied for Essential Medicines, a health advocacy group, and the Undergraduate Science Journal, in addition to volunteering in the hospital. In my free time, I like to travel, try new foods, and be in nature. I look forward to my next few years here at UCLA!
