7:00am:

Wake up

I'm a strong believer in setting an alarm on my phone and placing it out of reach from the bed. This not only forces me to get out of bed, but it also keeps me from browsing through my phone. This habit helps me start my day faster!

Dream Journal

Every morning after waking up I write in my dream journal everything that remember from my dreams. I actually have logs covering nearly all of the past 3 years. My aim in doing this is to habitually lucid dream. Through research I have found many benefits to lucid dreaming and believe it a unique and essential skill to master.

Motivational video, Apple cider vinegar, Vitamins, Grip trainer

The next part of my morning routine entails watching an average 10-minute motivational video on YouTube. During this video I drink a glass of water mixed with apple cider vinegar, take my daily vitamins, and exercise a grip trainer to strengthen my hands. This activity is the keystone to starting my day on the right foot.

7:25am:

Exercise /and or/ Shower, Shave, Get ready

At this point if I decide to exercise, then I will either go on a run or lift weights at the gym. I don't do this everyday, as it often depends on what time my classes are that day or if I'm feeling up for it. Oftentimes I will wait to workout in the evening. Either way, I eventually get to showering and getting ready to head out for the day.

7:50am:

Get breakfast

I love breakfast. It is definitely a must to starting my day. Now a days I live on campus so I'm fortunate enough to have everyday access to the delicious dining halls here at UCLA. If I were in a living situation where I need to cook, I would either have a bowl of cereal or cook a vegetable stir fry omelet.

8:20am-2:00pm:

Classes, Homework and Study, Get lunch / snack

Throughout this time, I have my classes to attend. Before and after my classes I complete homework assignments, review before a lecture, or study for future exams. If I have the time, I'll make a dash to the dining hall to chow on some lunch. If I don't have the time I always have my trusty banana and protein bar in my backpack.

3:00pm-10:00pm:

Each day I'm doing something different during the evening/night, so the following vary depending on the day.

Research Lab

I work as a research assistant in the UCLA Social Cognitive Neuroscience Lab which greatly represents my future research interests that I would like to pursue. Below is a picture of me wearing the neuroimaging equipment we use.

Work

Some nights I work as a host at a fancy restaurant in Westwood. To me, this is just a fun and easy way to make some spending money. I enjoy customer service jobs because I'm comfortable with, and like to talk to lots of people.

Homework and Study, Workout

Every night at some point I sit down to do school work. This has actually become the default of what I do on my free time. And I typically do this unless I need to eat or my roommates invite me to do something. I will also use this time to workout if I haven't already in the morning.

Friends, Dinner

My friends and I often like to hangout, play board games, or grab food together. Nothing crazy.

11:00pm:

Get ready for bed, Read book, Sleep

Around here, I wind down by cleaning up and organizing my room. Then I prepare for, and hop in bed with a book. I like to read fiction books before sleep as they are an easy way for my mind to wonder in preparation for sleep. I read until my eyes start to close.
